Séquence, centre de recherche et de diffusion en arts visuels et médiatiques, est fier de cette livraison multimédia qui constitue le bilan de Cuesta; mission de création et d'échanges artistiques Québec/Ontario. Réalisé en collaboration avec la Grimsby Public Art Gallery, ce cédérom se veut un document sur l'ensemble des interventions réalisées par les artistes : Guy Blackburn, Claudine Cotton, Martin Dufrasne, Yves Tremblay et Ronald Thibert de la région du Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean au Québec; d'Élizabeth Chitty, Reinhard Reitzenstein et Gayle Young de la région de Niagara en Ontario.

Cuesta a été initié par Mary Rashleigh de la Grimsby Public Art Gallery et Bernard Pilote de la Corporation des événements majeurs d'Alma. Projet artistique multiple, réparti sur divers territoires et se réalisant sur plusieurs années; il a reçu, en 1994, l'appui du programme d'échanges culturels Québec/Ontario pour réaliser des oeuvres in situ et publier un livre d'art (Cuesta 0). En 1995, Séquence a pris la relève du projet, au Saguenay, pour lui donner un nouveau souffle et a été appuyé financièrement par le Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec et le Conseil des Arts du Canada. (Terre Commune/Common Ground).

L'art dispose maintenant d'un nouveau support. Nous en avons fait l'expérience et nous vous invitons à nous faire vos commentaires sur ce document ou, encore, vos suggestions sur la production d'autres titres.

Séquence, a center for research and diffusion in visual and media arts, is proud of this multimedia product wich represents the results of Cuesta; a mission of creation and artistic exchanges between Quebec/Ontario. In cooperation with Grimsby Public Art Gallery, the CD-rom is a document concerning all the actions carried out by the artists such as : Guy Blackburn, Claudine Cotton, Martin Dufrasne, Yves Tremblay and Ronald Thibert from the Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean region in the province of Québec and Élizabeth Chitty, Reinhard Reitzenstein and Gayle Young from Niagara area in Ontario.

Cuesta was initially created by Mary Rashleigh from Grimsby Public Art Gallery and Bernard Pilote from the Corporation des événements majeurs from Alma (Lac-Saint-Jean, Qc). Distributed through different territories and over many years, this multi-artistic project has received in 1994 support from the Quebec/Ontario cultural exchange program in order to present artworks on site and publish a book on arts (Cuesta 0). In 1995, Séquence took over the project in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region and received funds from the Council of Arts and Letters of Quebec and the Council of Arts of Canada.

Art has now a new medium. We tested it and invite you to provide your comments ,or suggestions on the production of other titles.
